A Must View for All Teachers!

Calling All TeachersIf you have not taken the time lately to explore the links on the sidebars of our White Oak Elementary blog, then you may be missing out on some invaluable tools. Recently added was a link to Russell Stannard’s Teacher Training Videos. If you are a teacher who has been wanting to incorporate some technology into your lessons but you just do not have the time to get with someone to learn how, this site is going to be one of your favorites. If you are a parent whose child has their own blog for writing and sharing (which you can create for free at WordPress), then this site will give you loads of ideas for enhancing that blog.

*A QUICK NOTE — ALL of our third graders and fifth graders already have their own blog pages and can access them at home!

I recommend that you subscribe via email on the right side of Russell Stannard’s blog, and I further recommend that you take a closer look at the helpful links on the White Oak Elementary blog as well.

~~Learning cannot  take place just at school.~~

Primary students will need to return all Chocolate Bunny fundraiser forms and the payments on Friday, March 11th.  We will get these sent in and have those chocolate goodies in time for delivery before Easter. Thank you to everyone who has helped in the success of this fundraiser for our campus.

Spring Pictures Wednesday

NO PACKETS WILL COME HOME.

All students will have their picture made on Wednesday.

Each student will later receive a proof that will go home for consideration. At that time parents will complete the order form and return it with payment for any desired purchases.

Purchase is not required in order to have the student’s picture made.

Come wearing your best smile

How to Catch a Leprechaun

PotGoldLeprechaunPopsUp

We will once again miss being at school on St. Patrick’s Day this year. I remember that being one of my favorite days because it was a day of pinching without repercussions. Also, a favorite legend of this holiday is that if you can catch a leprechaun, you can get his pot of gold. Now wouldn’t we all benefit right now from finding a pot of gold.  That being shared, Mrs. Kimbley asked some of her primary students, “How would you catch a leprechaun?”  The answers are quite interesting.
