Cookie Dough Packets will come home today and above is the table informing parents and students how to earn different levels of prizes. Inside the packet are two order forms (one is for Chick-Fil-A Cards) (one is for Cookie Dough/bag orders), one 4-page cookie dough brochure, and a money envelope. ALL ITEMS ARE PREPAID and orders will not be honored if payment does not equal the amount shown on the order form. Checks are made payable to White Oak Intermediate School and must include Driver’s License and Birthdates. Parents need to total both order forms and then double check to make sure the total amount enclosed in the envelope EQUALS the total amounts of both order forms.
If you need to print out another order form, here are the links.
We have two weeks to really make a difference!
No one enjoys going to a restaurant, sitting down to a meal prepared for you, and having your mealtime interrupted by loud talking, or yelling, coming from across the restaurant. Well our cafeteria IS our restaurant, so we all need to be aware of the level of our voices. The chart below will help you gauge your own voice and will help you to be respectful of those around you.
The State Board of Education (SBOE) has legislative authority to adopt the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each subject of the required curriculum. The recommendations were developed by the mathematics TEKS review committees that were appointed by members of the SBOE. These drafts are based on the Commissioner’s Draft of the Mathematics Standards. Click on the picture above for a copy of the changes to Math TEKS from Kindergarten – Fifth grades.
The first six weeks reporting period has come to a close and the report cards will come home tomorrow, Thursday, October 6th. NO progress reports were sent home the first six weeks as two weeks were spent teaching procedures and routines. We continue to stress high academic expectations. Small group instruction continues in each classroom and targeted areas of strengths and weaknesses will remain the focus of the excellent teachers here at White Oak elementary, providing both enrichment and intervention where needed.
