Your Chance to Help

NOTE DATE CHANGE!

Where will YOU be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 21st?

Through the generous support of the White Oak Education Foundation and Mr. Mike Clements at Energy Weldfab, WOISD is in the construction phase of a water feature at the Nature Center. This project will enhance the outdoor education curriculum in all subject areas and will be an outstanding place for classes to take an in-district field trip. The project will include a running water feature as well as a dry creek bed. There will be multiple species of water plant life and tadpoles. There is a plan to include a butterfly garden.
The project needs your help on Saturday, April 21, 2012. We will be moving materials to make walking paths, create planting areas, setting several different sizes of stones and basically bring the project very close to completion. We are working with professional landscape designers and there will be equipment in place for some of the more physical assignments. The more help we get, the quicker the work gets done and the closer we will be to a completed project.
Please make plans to be at the Nature Center at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 21st to lend a hand for as long as you can. If you have an hour great, if you can stay longer, even better. A strong turnout of school volunteers is the best way to show our appreciation for the support  of those mentioned at the start of this message.

Thank you in advance for your support on this project.
