It was Crazy Hat Day and the one of the craziest hats was wore by David N. in Mrs. O’Malley’s room. Thanks to all students for really getting into the activities of Red Ribbon Week, and a special thank you to Mrs. Maines for planning these five special days. Do not forget that tomorrow morning is the Talent Show. We have some really talented students at White Oak Elementary and it promises to be a good time.

Friday Monster Mash!
All enhancement classes will need to report to the gym on Friday for a special Monster Mash. All enhancement teachers will need to accompany the classes as well. This should be a lot of fun. For a little preview, click on the video below.
Cookie Dough Kick-Off Tomorrow!
The Annual Cookie Dough Kick-Off will take place tomorrow morning in the elementary gymnasium. Students will be addressed by the funding sponsor and the campaign to sell the most cookie dough ever will begin! Packets will be sent home with each student, and we hope that everyone will participate.

Parent Volunteers Contact Sarah Maines
If you have time on your hands and have been wanting to do something helpful, then you are the person we have been looking for. Sarah Maines, Director of Student Services on the elementary campus, will be offering a Volunteer Training Program as soon as she completes the WHO Program with our Primary classes. Our classroom teachers have provided her with several “non-teaching” tasks that remain undone because of lack of time. These tasks would need to be completed in a timely fashion and not within the teachers’ classrooms. Non-teaching tasks include covering textbooks, completing written order forms for books, putting together teaching games, etc. If you think that this is something you might like to do to help out the classroom teachers, please sign up for the Volunteer Training Program by emailing Sarah Maines at [email protected].
