Christmas Holidays – No School – Dec. 19-Dec. 30

Cookie Dough Pick-up Thursday 1:00

Parents of intermediate students who sold cookie dough orders may begin to pick up the orders at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 8th. Please note that the cookie dough and other items will need to be refrigerated, and we will NOT have a place to keep it overnight at the school.

To avoid the buses and car pick-up traffic, please plan to get these orders before dismissal time on Thursday.

Our students and parents did an outstanding job and we appreciate the hard work and effort they put in on this fundraiser.

Generosity

This month our character trait is Generosity and our feature book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.  If you do not have the book, or have never heard the book, it is a book of true giving. Please enjoy listening to the story below.

White Oak Christmas Parade

The White Oak Christmas Parade will take place today, Monday, November 28th. It will begin at 6:00 pm along White Oak Road and proceed to Center Street. Some floats will be throwing candy.  Mrs. Debbie Sadler at City Hall wanted to remind parents to watch children closely so that they do not get into traffic while picking these up.   It is sure to be an enjoyable evening. Please bring your family out and support our community.

Gratitude

This week’s character trait was Gratitude. The students in Mrs. Lawrence’s room wrote about how we could show gratitude to others in our school. They shared these during morning assembly with all of the other students. Please click on the green arrow to hear what each had to say.

Also sharing their acrostic poems on gratitude were three students from Mrs. Hall’s room. A special thank you goes to Sean, Zane, and Jacee.

Educational Links and Resources

This is just a reminder to our staff and parents that daily links are posted that provide school information, enrichment, and remediation help for students.  In the past, bulk emails were sent out to all teachers with these sources, but parents would benefit just as much from having access to this information.

You can click on the HELPFUL LINKS above to be directed to our postings.  You do NOT need to have, or use, Facebook to be able to link to these resources. You only need to LOOK.
