Our character trait for the month of December is GENEROSITY. With that in mind, and because of the many needs in our own community, we will begin our Christmas Community Project. Beginning today, December 8th, we will begin collecting coins – nickels, dimes, and quarters – for our coin war!
All proceeds from this event will be given to the White Oak TAP (Temporary Assistance Program) through the White Oak Community Club. Our generosity through this project will help fill our food pantry and assist those in need.
Each intermediate grade level will be competing against the other grade levels. Students will bring as nickels and dimes – as many as they can! The catch to this game is that the other grade levels will be dropping “bombs” into their jar – the “bombs” are quarters. Each quarter will delete 25¢ worth of the nickels and dimes. The grade level that has the most money by the end of the day next Wednesday, December 14th, will win the war.
Don’t forget to bring nickels and dimes for your own grade level, but also you will want to bomb the other grade levels – so bring quarters too!
Let’s help out our community during this holiday season by participating is this very worthwhile cause.
