Today we completed two days of training with Margaret McInteer who shared the research and strategies of Marzano’s The Highly Engaged Classroom. Each teacher received a copy of his book along with numerous ideas to motivate learners and improve self-efficacy.   One of the many tools shared was a multipurpose graphic organizer. A high school teacher at our table suggested that the organizer might be more easily understood by students if it was color coordinated. Our group agreed, so we have done just that.
