Coach Works on Eye-Hand Coordination

Juggling

Coach Mary Underwood and the White Oak Education Foundation/PTO have joined together to provide opportunities for our students to learn to juggle scarves. It sounds much easier than it is.  And what are the benefits?

The students must use right brain and left brain together and cross mid-line with their bodies in order to juggle.  Also this activity improves eye-hand coordination and concentration. Our teachers are always thinking outside the box to bring new challenges to our students.

Thank you, Coach, for making physical education so much fun while improving academics all at the same time.

  1. I agree, Coach is awesome! She is always thinking of ways to help the children.
Right now in Healthy Bodies, she has us doing speed stack…this is also great for eye-hand coordination!

  2. Korbyn loves this! She tried to teach me to “juggle” this weekend; I must say, she’s a much better performer than I am. Thanks, Coach Underwood!

  3. Wow! You go, Coach Underwood! What concentration! What eye-hand coordination! You are my hero! You are one determined woman…that is hard to do!!! Just shows that practice makes perfect. 🙂
